classix - a class of its own

Interview with Managing Director Stefan Brenner

As a medium-sized company, it is difficult to make your solutions known to a wide audience. In this interview, Managing Director Stefan Brenner reveals how this can still be achieved thanks to the support and partnership of the LogiMAT trade fair and PresseBox.

Mr Brenner, LogiMAT 2025 is over. How do you feel about the trade fair in retrospect?

It was a good trade fair for classix.ai. AI is currently driving the entire industry forward. As a software company that develops AI solutions for the manufacturing industry with a focus on mechanical engineering and variant management, for example for intralogistics, we are naturally right at the heart of things and at the forefront. To make this clear, we presented our stand under the motto ‘classix.ai – AI solutions’. And the response showed that there is great interest and demand.

You also presented a new product at LogiMAT 2025. What is it all about?

We presented our latest AI solution: ‘KLIO – the chat with source references’. This is a chat that provides factually sound and verifiable answers with source references. It draws on stored data sheets and documents and links to the relevant document so that I, as a reader, can easily and quickly delve deeper into the subject matter. This is a very useful tool, for example, if I, as a company, want to quickly offer my customers help with a specific problem and immediately show them the relevant section in the user manual. We actually developed this solution for our internal knowledge management, but because it works so well and there is a demand for it, we decided to make this solution available to others as well.

It is often a long road from a good product to economic success. What challenges did you face in the run-up to LogiMAT?

We faced the same problem as many others, namely visibility: how could we stand out from the crowd of exhibitors? In addition, we had a product-specific challenge: AI solutions often still lack acceptance, for example because of security concerns or simply because there is a lack of awareness that a practical solution already exists in this area. So in the run-up to the event, we not only had to attract attention in a positive sense, but also had to educate people.

Conveying complex content is always a challenge. Put simply, you had to make yourself heard without being loud. How did you approach this?

We are specialists in software and AI, not PR. So we outsourced the topic to the professionals at PresseBox, who work very closely with LogiMAT on communication issues. We had PresseBox use the entire range of press releases, success stories, application reports, technical articles and feature stories and distribute them via the PresseBox distribution list and the LogiMAT distribution list.

And? Did it work?

Absolutely. The combination of good content, distributed across both mailing lists, and our presence at the trade fair was successful. It saved us a lot of work. The collaboration was also very pleasant, and the bottom line is that we achieved much more than we could have done on our own.

Mr Brenner, thank you for talking to us.
