Just happened: The laser machine in a factory could not be used for over a week. And why?
A cyber attack had paralysed the network of a globally operating company. And all the machines in all the factories of all the affiliated companies are connected to each other via this one network. All ERP systems could not be used either.
In fact, nothing worked anymore.
IOT – or as we also call it – Industry 4.0 should not be interpreted technically. Being able to talk to each other does not mean having to lock things together. Industry 4.0 is about being able to understand each other, despite different languages and cultures – and also systems.
No uniformity. No internationalism.
Our understanding of consolidation is semantic. Hence CyberEnterprise.
